About

My name is Ido, and I create games. Currently leading art at Candivore.

The first game I made was Jump Herzl, Jumpβ€”an educational game to celebrate Israel's annual Herzl Day. Prior to that, I've been designing for web and print. I still do that too, sometimes. Creating games combines several of my passions: design, illustration, animation, storytelling and branding. I also like to code, and try to solve problems by bridging the infamous gap between design and development.

In my experience, this particular skillset tends to fit better in smaller, highly dynamic environments. I enjoy being part of fast-moving product teams where members often wear multiple hats and have greater influence. In 2012 I co-founded Double Duck, a game studio where I took part in producing over fifty games for various clients.

Over the years, I gave lectures and hosted workshops on Game Design and Level Design at Tel-Aviv's Mentor College. I try to participate each year in the Global Game Jam event, a 48-hour hackathon where we've created some nice games so far.

I'm a father of three.

I'm still learning.
