This website

Hand-coded using the staple web standards of HTML and CSS. I tend to favor simple solutions and sustainable stacks. Preprocessed with 11ty and makes good use of Markdown and SASS. Hosting and serving is handled by Netlify. No analytics or tracking code here.

Software

• Orion is my browser of choice these days.
• Affinity Designer is my primary creative tool. I switched to it after a decade of using Adobe products and rarely looked back. I find it unique in that it combines both raster and vector workflows, along with more modern features. I use both the iPad and Desktop versions. The rest of the Affinity suite is also very good.
• VSCode is my preferred code editor.
• Most of my coding today leans towards vanilla Javascript. Other things I use include:
  • Google Apps Script for quickly spinning a basic backend.
  • I've used Haxe, a versatile programming language, to create games, run backend logic, build tools and more.
  • I'm also prototyping with the Defold game engine.
• Other, smaller, utilities I constantly find useful:
  • Typeface for font management.
  • ColorSlurp for colors.
  • Astropad to draw on the Mac.
  • Boop to manipulate text.
  • Fork to interface with git.
  • Logseq for most notes, tasks and thoughts.
